The journey between mother and child begins before baby is born. It begins in those first moments of creation and continues for eternity. There is a huge bond between a mother and child and especially when they are young, that child looks to their mother for life, for knowledge, and for nourishment. This weekend, I got to capture a mommy and me session. As a mother myself, I am usually the one behind the camera and that was the same for this mom. She wanted to capture those daily moments that might not be captured otherwise.
Holding hands, singing songs, playing games, special moments that are normally not caught on camera are what I was able to capture this weekend. Moments that when little O is older, mom can look back at and moments little O can look back on when she is older or a mom herself.
Thank you L and O for letting me capture these special moments for you.
Another woman I met in a separate group agreed to share her story in my blog series as well. She shares it much better than I could have. She suffered from multiple miscarriages as well as multiple IVF failed treatments. She also went through so much more than that during her storm. Here is her story of her losses and her rainbow after the storm. Her name is Tami and this is her story: No Heartbeat I had no reason to think I might never have another child. My story started fifteen years ago when I was pregnant with my now 14-year-old daughter. I wasn't nervous during my first pregnancy. If anything, I was oblivious to the fact that anything could possibly go wrong. But, it all went smoothly- my daughter arrived perfectly on her due date with an uncomplicated, natural birth. My pregnancy was textbook. My relationship with my daughter's father, however, was anything but textbook. After my daughter’s birth, we decided to take a break. It ended up lasting years....
Welcome back, Everyone! I recently had a spectacular session with the Frank family. I've said it before and I'll say it again – I truly have the best clients ever! This family was no exception, either. They were fun, easy going and very photogenic. Although the kids didn’t want their photos taken, they eventually warmed up and we got some great candid photos. The weather was amazing but a little chilly. Apparently, mother nature finally got the memo that its fall here in Georgia. The skies were overcast which made for some amazing lighting. This was my first session really focusing on candid/lifestyle type shoots. Usually I do a mix of posed and unposed but this session was super fun, I would like to introduce the Frank Family: Jason (dad), Elana (Mom), Levi, Avidan, and Matan the kids. Jason is known as the silly dad and was joking around with the kids trying to get them to relax including piggy back rides and trying to push him in the pond. Elana is the strict mo...
Hi all! I’ve got a newborn (1 Month old) session to share with you/ 1 month old babies are one of my favorites to capture because they are just starting to find their personality. You can start to see their different expressions and are starting to learn what each look and stare means. During this session, I captured many expressions for baby Olivia. She is an absolute doll with a fun personality. She will definitely bring her parents adventures for sure. I met up with Erica and Jon a couple weeks ago at Leone Price Park and, as you can see, it was the dreamiest. Session. Ever! Erica’s favorite memory from the birth was “I loved having Jon be there with me and supportive through the whole thing. He was the one that announced “it’s a girl!” And cut the cord. It was all just the perfect moment and a day full of treasured memories.” Erica and Jon had chosen not to find out what they were having until the day she was born. Erica said her first thought when she saw little Oliv...
