It Started with a kiss

Christmas time and the holidays are one of my favorite times of the year. Its a special time were families become closer and really focus on what is important things. Sometimes family is far away and you can only talk via phone or video chat. But sometimes they are able to come and visit. This year was a special year for the W family. For the first time in several years. the entire extended family was together. 6 families, 22 people, all in one house. 4 generations. I had the privilege of photographing this family on Christmas eve. There was so much love and excitement. Sisters, cousins, aunts, grandparents, great grandparents, grandkids, and great grandkids. All together sharing joy and laughter.

I love capturing memories like these. The patriarch and matriarch of the family were still very much in love which was shown when they did their couple pose they immediately kissed. The rest of the family just cheered them on. They created a beautiful legacy and it was a gift to be able to capture that legacy. I got to capture their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. 6 families who share everything even when they live far apart. you could tell by the way their talked and interacted that they were very close.
Capturing memories like this is why I chose to be a photographer. Its an amazing experience and I can't wait to see what the next year brings.

Welcome back, Everyone! I recently had a spectacular session with the Frank family. I've said it before and I'll say it again – I truly have the best clients ever! This family was no exception, either. They were fun, easy going and very photogenic. Although the kids didn’t want their photos taken, they eventually warmed up and we got some great candid photos. The weather was amazing but a little chilly. Apparently, mother nature finally got the memo that its fall here in Georgia. The skies were overcast which made for some amazing lighting. Power of incentives at your photo session

Is it okay to give your child and incentive during a session? Picture day can be a very, very stressful time if you have children. Finding the right outfit and a date that everyone is available on already causes you a headache. Once you have that down, though, everything is smooth sailing. You have prepared everything to be perfect, and then your worst nightmare happens – your child won’t cooperate. Even after you’ve coached him or her for the past two weeks and the entire car ride leading up to the session, your kiddo still just isn’t having it.  An angel in the book of life wrote down my baby’s birth. Then whispered as she closed the book, “too beautiful for earth”. – Unknown My goal of this documentary is to help spread awareness of the 1 in 4 women/families who suffer a infant loss. No matter what part of pregnancy whether early on, late term or at the very end of the pregnancy a loss is still a loss and it is in no way anyone's fault.
